POWER BOLTS Power Bolts are an innovative way of routing power cables from one side of a panel to the other, without having to drill a hole. Initially designed for the 4WD industry, they have now found their way into many other applications within the Marine, Trucking and Caravan industries.
When a hole is drilled through a panel, like in the rear door of a 4WD to run power out for a rear work light, it creates a break in the painted surface. This break in the painted surface now allows a track for moisture to get in between the metal of the panel and the paint. Over time this moisture will lead to rust forming and an expensive repair. Power Bolt eliminates the need to drill a hole by simply utilising an existing bolt in the panel such as the bolt holding the spare wheel carrier onto the rear door of a 4WD. The bolt is removed and simply replaced with the Power Bolt. You now have a power cable capable of routing power from one side of the panel to the other without the need to drill a hole and give rust the opportunity to form.
I'm not going to tell you that you need to buy this product but just think about this. As a result of drilling a hole in your panel you have now created an opportunity for rust to develop. Rust in that panel will be expensive to repair and can result in considerable down time of your vehicle. The minimal cost of a Power Bolt can eliminate this potential for rust.
